Following a refusal of planning permission where we had unsuccessfully argued with the LPA (Local Planning Authority) that our design was only marginally different than that which would be approved under Permitted Development (PD) rules so PD should be a material consideration, we instead went back to the LPA with a larger proposal which met all the technical requirements of PD. The LPA had no choice but to approve and our client was pleased with the layout which adds two additional bedrooms to their home.
